Ordinare

We put things in order.

Data, software and operational work for European companies — delivered as finished work, not billed hours.

We are engaged when something needs to become structured enough to be used, audited, handed over, or sold.

Why we exist

Most engagements fail at the handover, not at the work

Companies rarely lack effort. What they lack is a version of the work that somebody else can pick up: a dataset with written labelling rules rather than habits, a process that survives the person who invented it, a set of numbers that means the same thing in March as it does in September.

The gap usually appears late — when a model has to be retrained by a different team, when an auditor asks how a figure was produced, when a buyer’s advisers open the data room. At that point the work exists, but it is not transferable. Rebuilding it costs more than doing it properly the first time.

Ordinare is engaged to close that gap. We take work that lives in someone’s head, in scattered files, or in a half-finished system, and leave behind something structured, documented and owned by you.

We are not a staffing company. You are not buying access to people or hours of availability. You are buying the finished thing.

What we do

Four kinds of work, one discipline

Data & machine learning

Image annotation and dataset preparation for model training. We write the labelling standard before the first image is touched, run documented quality control against it, with sampling and measured error rates, rather than asking you to take quality on trust. Where a project calls for it, we build and evaluate the model itself.

You receive: labelled dataset, written annotation guidelines, QA methodology and results, provenance documentation for every source.

Software & R&D

Applied development: internal tools, data pipelines, integrations and automation. We build what removes a specific bottleneck, not a platform in search of a use. Everything is written to be maintained by a developer who has never spoken to us.

You receive: source code with full rights assigned, deployment and architecture documentation, handover session with your team or your next supplier.

Processes & reporting

Operational processes and management reporting, and the systems that keep them running. We map what actually happens rather than what the manual says, remove the steps that exist only out of habit, and make the reporting reproducible — same definitions, same sources, same result every period.

You receive: documented processes with named owners, reporting pack with defined metrics, and the working system behind it.

Transaction readiness

Preparing a company to withstand diligence. Clean and reconciled reporting, documented processes, resolved related-party and IP questions, and a data room organised the way a buyer’s advisers actually read it. We prepare the company; we do not advise on the transaction itself.

You receive: structured data room, diligence question log with prepared answers, remediation list ranked by what a buyer will price.

Who we work with

The engagements that fit — and the ones that do not

A good fit

European companies that have outgrown ad-hoc process and now need work that holds up under external scrutiny — an auditor, a regulator, a buyer, or simply a new team.
Engagements with a definable end state, from a focused three-week piece to a build running several months.
Clients who would rather agree a scope and a price once than review timesheets every month.

Not a fit

Staff augmentation by the hour, or open-ended retainers with no defined outcome.
Work we cannot document, hand over, or take responsibility for.
Weapon systems, military or weapon-targeting systems, or lethal applications — declined regardless of commercial terms.

How we work

You buy a result, not availability

1

Scoping

A conversation about the problem, not the brief. We ask what the output has to survive — an audit, a retraining cycle, a buyer’s adviser — because that determines what “finished” means. If the work is not something we should take on, we say so at this stage.

2

Written scope and fixed price

You receive a document that defines the deliverable, the acceptance criteria, the timeline and the price. The estimate is our risk. If the work takes longer than we judged, that is our problem; if the scope genuinely changes, we agree the change in writing before continuing.

3

Delivery with checkpoints

Work is executed through a vetted network of independent specialists, coordinated and reviewed by us. Nothing reaches you unreviewed. You deal with one counterparty throughout and are never asked to manage a subcontractor.

4

Handover and transfer of rights

Every engagement ends with something a third party can pick up: a written process, a working system, a structured dataset. Intellectual property rights transfer to you on delivery, assigned through the full chain of everyone who touched the work.

Standards

What we commit to before work starts

Data protection
Article 28 processing agreements as a matter of course, standard contractual clauses where transfers require them, and a transfer impact assessment where the destination calls for one. We do not ask clients to assume that this has been handled.
Named subprocessors
The specialists engaged on your project are disclosed before work begins and bound by equivalent written obligations on confidentiality, data protection and intellectual property. Where the team changes during an engagement, you are notified in advance. No onward subcontracting without your written consent, and no undisclosed chain.
Intellectual property
Every contributor assigns their rights to Ordinare in writing, under standard terms signed before work begins. Ordinare transfers them to you on delivery. You receive what you paid for, free of third-party claims — which is what a future auditor or acquirer will check.
Export control
Where a client operates in a regulated sector, we require written classification of any material before it is transferred to us, and we limit the engagement contractually to work outside the controlled perimeter.
Confidentiality
Mutual non-disclosure as standard. We do not publish client names or case studies without written permission, and we do not use client material to train models for our own purposes or for any other client.

We do not work on weapon systems, military or weapon-targeting systems, or lethal applications. This is a condition of engagement rather than a preference, and it is written into our contracts. Detection, monitoring and civil infrastructure work is considered on its facts, subject to written export-control classification.

Questions

The things clients ask before signing

Why is the company registered in Hong Kong?

Ordinare Limited was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2017 as a practical jurisdiction for an internationally focused services business. At the time, Hong Kong offered a well-established common-law framework, English-language corporate administration and a straightforward environment for cross-border contracting.

The company has remained there since. It has operated under different names during that period and was renamed Ordinare in 2026 to reflect its current focus. It is a straightforward operating company with no group structure, no holding layers, no nominee shareholders and no undisclosed beneficial owners. Contracts are typically in EUR, invoicing is conventional, and we are happy to answer procurement or compliance questions in writing before engagement.

Who actually does the work?

Engagements are led by us and executed through a reviewed network of independent specialists. You are told who is involved before work begins, everyone is bound by the same confidentiality and IP terms, and you are never asked to manage them. Accountability for quality and deadline stays with Ordinare.

How can the price be fixed if requirements change?

The price is fixed against a defined deliverable, not against a guess about effort. If our estimate was wrong, that is our risk. If the deliverable itself changes, we agree the change in writing before continuing. What we do not do is convert a fixed engagement into an hourly one halfway through.

What happens to our data?

It is processed under a written agreement, only for the purpose you specify, only by parties disclosed to you, and returned or deleted at the end on your instruction. Nothing is retained for our own purposes, and client material is never used to train models for us or for any other client.

Can you sign our DPA and NDA?

Yes. We work to client paper as standard and will flag anything we cannot accept rather than signing and hoping. If you do not have your own, we provide ours.

Do you take defence-related work?

Not on weapon systems, military or weapon-targeting systems, or lethal applications, under any commercial terms. Work for companies in adjacent sectors is assessed case by case and requires written export-control classification of every material before anything is transferred.
